I saw photos of the first Houston Art Car Parade in a Road & Track magazine. I wondered what type of person would ever decorate a car with bottle caps and jelly beans. A decade plus later, I moved to Houston. A friend from Arizona showed me an art magazine wit the parade participants and I knew right then that Sugar Magnolia, my beloved Volvo with a quarter million plus miles, was destined to be an art car. I did nothave time to enter in 2003, but in 2004, I made a splash with the KarmaKAT car!
