These photos are of Maderas, Majagual, and Marsella Beaches, all north of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, from 2005 to present. Not much has changed in four years except the number of surfers in the water at any given time. Twenty used to be a crowd, now 25 is a slow day. It's definitely not a beach fro the inexperienced. A good number of people in the water should be at an intermediate beach, but Madera/Maderas (both names are used here) is the trendy spot to hang out.
