These are photos taken from our trip on the Manchurian Express, which we took from Irkutsk to Beijing in the fall of 2007. The images are grainy because they were taken from behind grimy windows. It was not possible to open any of the windows on the train. There were no showers, either. Thankfully, we had our own quarters for this three day, three night adventure.
